Jackson Co. Crash Results In Minor Injuries

(Heron Lake, Mn.)– A two-vehicle collision Sunday on Highway 60 at Heron Lake sent two people to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 48-year-old Mary Hesemann of Lakefield was driving a 2002 Ford Windstar van when she failed to yield for a 2001 Dodge van driven by 65-year-old Sylvester Gasseling of Minden, Nebraska. The two vehicles broadsided each other.

Heseman and a passenger in Gasseling’s vehicle, 65-year-old July Gasseling of Minden, Nebraska, were transported to the Worthington hospital. Both were treated for minor injuries.

Both vehicles were totaled.

The collision took place shortly after noon Sunday.
