(Fort Dodge)– Iowa Utilities Board permit hearings over Summit’s carbon capture pipeline are now officially over. The last hearings reportedly wrapped up Thursday.
The I-U-B has collected nearly 10-thousand filings and regular exhibits in the docket.
Many landowners and members of the public speaking out at the 8 weeks of hearings in Fort Dodge were in opposition to Summit’s pipeline plan.
The I-U-B is still offering an 83 day window for public comment. It’s unclear when the board’s decision on the matter might be announced.
The pipeline is proposed to pass through a number of northwest Iowa counties, including Dickinson.
