(Storm Lake)-– Consumer Protection Week is coming up March 3rd-9th. Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is commemorating the designation by offering a workshop titled “Stay Independent: Stop, Stop, and Avoid Fraud”. It’s being offered as part of their Healthy Aging Series, geared for adults 60 and over and their caregivers.

The online workshop covers a number of fraud-related topics, such as how to identify frauds and scams, why older Iowans are more of a target; warning signs to look for and ways to protect yourself.
