ISU Extension & Outreach Hires New Swine Specialist For NW Iowa

(Orange City)– Ashley Englin, a Le Mars native, has been hired as a new swine specialist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in northwest Iowa. She’s been on the job since January 29th and is developing contacts and meeting colleagues and clients.

Englin has an extensive background in the swine industry. Her background includes work as a nursery production training coordinator at a swine facility near Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. In March of 2022 she and her family returned to Le Mars where she started work as a wean-to-finish specialist for Smithfield Foods.

Englin is based out of the ISU Extension and Outreach Office in Orange City.
