(Arnolds Park)– The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will once again be putting on several events in conjunction with this year’s University of Okoboji Winter Games.
The association’s Doris Welle says things will kick off January 26 at the IRRMA Museum in Arnolds Park with an open house for a special Roof Garden poster exhibit owned by Emil and Sue Richter of Milford. The exhibit will remain on display through February.
In addition, Welle says IRRMA will once again this year put on its Winter Games dance at 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 28th featuring music by 2005 IRRMA Hall Of Famers “The Senders”. The location for this year’s dance has been moved from the Expo Building to Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center in Okoboji. In the past it had been held at the Expo Building in Spirit Lake immediately following the chili cook-off. But Welle says the change in location for the dance was necessitated by the large crowd attending the chili cook-off.
IRRMA will also once again this year put on the Winter Follies as part of Winter Games. That event will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30th at the Lauridsen Theatre at the Pearson Lakes Art Center.
