(Spencer)– Area builders, landscapers and excavators are urged to attend an upcoming informational meeting regarding one call excavator safety awareness.
Interstate Power and Light Company, an Alliant Energy subsidiary, is holding a series of such meetings around the state. The one for our area is scheduled for February 4th at the Clay County Regional Events Center in Spencer. It will begin with a free lunch at 11:30 a.m. with the program to follow at 12:15 p.m.
Organizers say the program is intended to inform and educate those who work outside on safety near underground utility systems.
Representatives of Iowa One Call will also be on hand.
There is no fee to attend, but pre-registration is requested by going online to www.iowaonecall.com.
