October 08, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Undated)– Favorable weather is allowing Iowa farmers to make good progress with the corn and soybean harvest.

The Iowa Crop Progress and Condition Report shows corn harvested for grain is at 22 percent, two days behind last year but 1 day ahead of normal.

The soybean harvest, meanwhile, is at 58 percent complete, four days ahead of last year and one week ahead of the average. The report says Iowa farmers were able to harvest 31 percent of the state’s soybean crop during the past week.
