(Arnolds Park)– Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz made several stops in northwest Iowa Thursday, including one in Arnolds Park, to announce a new program his office is offering to pay tribute to veterans.
Participants in the “Vote in Honor of a Veteran” program can register at the Iowa Secretary of State’s website (www.sos.iowa.gov) and leave a special message or written tribute. Participants will then receive a special lapel pin they are encouraged to wear during election day in November.
Even though the program is still new, Schultz says they’re already getting some tremendous feedback…(click here for comment from Matt Schultz.).
Schultz hopes the program will also draw more people to the polls…(click here for comment from Matt Schultz).
Schultz also talked about some additions to his office’s website that provides active duty military members assistance with things such as requesting and casting absentee ballots.
