(Arnolds Park)-The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will present an Okoboji Rocks Concert featuring The Everly Brothers Experience August 30th. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Induction Spectacular will be held in The Iowa Great Lakes on Labor Day Weekend.
Board President Ralph Kluseman says, the festivities will kick off with a special Okoboji Rocks Concert August 30 featuring The Everly Brothers Experience. “We’ve got The Everly Brothers Experience with the Zmed Brothers, and they’re phenomenal, or to use another word, ‘fab-ulous’, because they sound just like the The Everly Brothers. So, you don’t want to miss that. The tickets are on sale right now, and of course, I’m really happy that Rick Hillyard and Dan Sullivan are gonna open the show, and they’re Hall of Fame entertainers, as well. So, the doors will open at 6:30 and then Hillyard and Sullivan will be on at 7:15, and then the main act, The Everly Brothers Experience will be on at 8 p.m. So, you won’t want to miss it.”
He adds that tickets are on sale for the Iowa Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Concert. “On Sunday, we’ve got the Ceremony at The Sami Bedell Center for the Performing Arts, that’s at 1:30 and your tickets are online, and then at 5:30, you’ll want to meet everybody and have a great evening of Hall of Fame entertainment in the Roof Garden Ballroom.”
