(Park)-It’s time to Rock for Vets. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will host a Rock 4 Vets Concert Thursday night.
Board President Ralph Kluseman says it’s a way to honor Veterans. “I’m really passionate about this Rock 4 Vets, you know, because these are the people that have guaranteed our freedom. I mean, that’s why we’ve always been really behind this event, more than almost anything that we do. When I see the response that we get when we get people together to celebrate the music that they love so much, it’s really heartwarming. So, I’m really excited for this Thursday night with Galaxy. Galaxy is going to be doing a great job, they always do. They’re a fan favorite always so, a great night to get out and celebrate something that’s so precious to who we are.”
He adds that Veterans will receive free admission. “General admission for non-members is $15. You get a discounted $12 admission if you’re a member of The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association, and of course, we’ve got a special free entry for all the Veterans. We just want to make sure that we get everybody together to celebrate anybody who has ever served our country.”
The doors will open at 5 with the concert at 6 o’clock Thursday evening at The Majestic Pavilion in Arnolds Park.
