The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association is inviting past Inductees to a special event. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will celebrate its 25th Anniversary during the Induction Spectacular Labor Day Weekend.
Executive Director Clay Norris says, the Association will hold an Inductee Celebration on September 3rd at the Roof Garden Ballroom, starting at 7 pm. “We are looking for all Inductees that were inducted between the years of 1997 and last year, 2021. We obviously are going to be paying a lot of attention to the Class of 2022, that’s what Sunday is all about, but on Saturday we really want to honor the Inductees that have brought us this far, and there are a lot of them. There are over 500 of them, not counting all the individuals that were in the bands and so forth.”
He adds that the public is welcome to attend the Celebration. “We would love to have as many people as possible come to witness these Inductees, and we’re going to be talking about the current state of our Association, some cool plans that we have for our patio, and just a little glimpse into our future as we are honoring the past and the legends of music that have brought us this far.”
