(Arnolds Park)-Warm up at the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Museum Holiday Open House this Saturday. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Museum will host a holiday open house on Saturday during the Holiday Market in the Park.
Executive Director Clay Norris says the event will include refreshments, live music and a memorabilia sale. “We want to open it up this Saturday, it will be a nice, warm place for people to come in and enjoy some music and some beverages and just see the Museum. We are going to have some memorabilia for sale, some items that we have up in our storage area. We have some duplicates of some items and some special things that we’ll have available for sale. Then, at noon, Rockin’ Vance Jorgensen, who is one of our new Inductees, he’s going to come and play for a couple hours. So, you can hear some live music and the bar will be open.”
He notes that merchandise will be available for purchase. “We’re going to have merchandise for sale with discounts up to 25%. We did get in a whole batch of Beatles shirts, some Rolling Stones and Beach Boys, even Slipknot shirts, for sale. Those will be discounted. We have some new winter merchandise coming in. It’ll be a great day for you to come for that special rock and roll person.”
The open house will run from 10-4 at the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Museum in Arnolds Park.
