Iowa Republican Chair Says He’s Happy With How Caucuses Went

(Des Moines)– The Iowa Republican Party is calling the 2024 Iowa caucuses a success. Iowa GOP Chair Jeff Kaufmann says the party was prepared for 200-thousand voters…

“Sub zero temperatures, minus 30 in some areas, and we had almost 110,000 Iowans go out and exercise their right to democracy. I couldn’t be prouder to be part of this state.”

Kaufmann says all-in-all, things went pretty smooth…

“If that app wasn’t working they could call in. We have all of our systems for transparency and checking the election integrity. There’s a short bottleneck there sometimes because we do all of that by hand. But knock on wood, I think everything is great.”

Strong turnouts for Monday’s caucuses were also reported locally.
