(Spencer)– A number of area individuals and businesses were recognized Wednesday during the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation’s annual Business Recognition event in Spencer.
Teresa Beck of Beck Engineering in Spirit Lake was named Young Professional of the Year; Inder Singh of Brew Oil, LLC of Storm Lake is this year’s Entrepreneur of the Year in the Corridor; the Small Business Excellence award was presented to Consumers Lumber Company of Spirit Lake; and King’s Pointe Waterpark Resort in Storm Lake received the Large Business Excellence Award. Tyson Foods Turkey Operations in Storm Lake was recognized for Project of the Year; Midwestern Mechanical of Spencer was honored for Workforce Excellence; Rand Fisher of Des Moines was named Economic Development Partner, and Lyle Hevern of Estherville was honored for Economic Development Impact.
Clay County Supervisor Burlin Mathews and Susan Zulk of Spencer Hospital were recognized for their years of service on the Corridor board.
