(Lake Park)– The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation is bringing their quarterly investor meeting to Lake Park. President and CEO Shannon Landauer says it will be held Tuesday, April 25th…
“We’ve got a great group of partners in economic development that are going to spend the day. We’re touring the downtown and a couple of business buildings in the community, so we’re really excited, you know, just highlighting the future and what’s going on in Lake Park. Then we’ll move to that actual quarterly investor meeting that we’ve opened up and invited partners to. At that point we’re going to be hosting Dakota Business Finance. So we’re going to open up the meeting with an update from the Corridor. We’re going to talk about what’s been going on here. We’ve had a great, great year so far, lots of activity. And then we’ll transition into our presenters. Dakota Business Finance is a tool, they bring a tool from SBA that can help fund projects in the region. So they work with local lenders to bring some additional resources to help get projects through that gap financing. Just a really, really great piece for us to help push projects over the line so that they can get started.”
The program with Dakota Business Finance will be held from 4:00 until 5:00 pm that day at the Lake Park Community Center. Landauer says they like to rotate the location of the quarterly meetings…
“For example in February we were supposed to be up in Estherville at Iowa Lakes Community College talking about STEM programming and what that can mean to our local industries. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, so we will be getting that one re-scheduled. They thought waiting until August would be great. But yeah, every quarter we have an update from the Corridor and then we go into a program. We also feature some projects in the region. You know when a new company comes in sometimes we’ll have that CEO or that leadership come in and talk about what they’re doing. So quite a variety of program topics but we just always like to bring things and not only bring in a variety of topics but bring in a variety of locations and really show off different communities in the region.”
The quarterly investor meetings are free to all Corridor investors, but RSVP’s are required by emailing info@lakescorridor.com or by calling the office at 712-264-3474.
