(Estherville)-It’s the annual Trunk or Treat at Iowa Lakes Community College Monday in Estherville. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Iowa Lakes Community College Student Senate will host its annual Spooktacular Trunk or Treat Monday evening from 5 to 6:30 on the Estherville Campus.
Student Senate Coordinator Katie King says, it offers a safe trick or treating opportunity for the community. “We started this about 3 or 4 years ago and have done it annually, and it just provides a safe and fun environment for the community and their families to come and do some trick or treating. So, what we do is, we get the Iowa Lakes Departments involved, there’s different clubs, there’s athletic teams and each of them decorate a trunk and hand out candy to the youth, and then, everybody, parents included, can vote on which trunk they think is the best at the Student Senate Trunk. It’s in the west parking lot, which is the parking lot between the school and the Regional Wellness Center. Anybody can totally come and get some candy!”
