It’s time for the Jazz Festival at Iowa Lakes Community College. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
(Estherville)-The Iowa Lakes Community College Music Department will present the 34th Annual Jazz Festival November 14th through the 16th on The Estherville Campus.
Instrumental Music Professor Carol Ayres says distinguished jazz artists will return to headline the festival. “We have Gooch coming back for the Jazz Festival this year, it’s really exciting. Michael Gurciullo, on the trumpet and singer. He used to be from Las Vegas and now he’s from Arizona. He’s always at Jazz Camp and everybody really enjoys hearing him sing and play, and so he’ll be one of our featured guest artists along with Joey Gulizia, Andy Hall and Steve Smith.”
The festival will feature several performances which are open to the public, including the Thursday night concert at The Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center which is slated to start at 7 o’clock.
