(Spirit Lake)-The Iowa Great Lakes Fall Festival will be held on Saturday. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Great Lakes Chamber will host the annual Fall Festival on Saturday at Camp Foster.
Director of Marketing and Events, Kylie Zankowski says, dozens of free activities will be offered for families. “It’s an entirely free event for families and kiddos to enjoy. So, everyone will head out to Camp Foster and park at that main grassy area when they get there, and then they can ride a hay ride into camp where they’ll be welcomed with over 25 different activities to enjoy everything from trick or treating, hot cocoa, cats and dogs, tattoos, cookie decorating and more. There’s so much to enjoy for all different age ranges, and it’s just a great excuse for everyone to get their costumes on and get in the Halloween spirit.”
She adds that a map of activities is available. “We’ve got a full map that we’ll be posting on our facebook page with the different activities and businesses that are involved. You’ll also be able to pick up a map once you arrive at camp with a little bag for you to put all of the goodies you receive while you’re at camp, and it’s just gonna be a ton of fun.”
