(Okoboji)– Iowa Department of Transportation commissioners will hold their monthly meeting next week in Okoboji.
Commissioners will meet informally Monday (Oct. 8th) to tour various transportation projects in the region. They will then gather at Arrowwod Resort and Conference Center for a work session on various transportation-related issues beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Their regular monthly meeting will be held Tuesday (Oct. 9th) at the Pearson Lakes Art Center beginning at 8:00 a.m. An application by the city of Spirit Lake for a RISE, or Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy, for a road project near the city’s new industrial park being developed on the east side of town, is on the agenda, along with funding for recreational trails throughout the state.
A public input meeting will follow, beginning at about 8:20 a.m. Representatives of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation will be among the various groups addressing the session. Their presentation is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
