(Estherville)—The Iowa Department of the Blind is inviting the public to two informational presentations the agency will be putting on later this month in Estherville.
Both presentations are scheduled for Tuesday, January 15th. The first is set for 9:30 that morning at Park View Terrace Apartments; the other gets underway at 2:30 that afternoon at Frienship Terrace Apartments.
Liz Soenen, a rehabilitation teacher for the Iowa Department of the Blind, will present information on the various services the department offers to assist those experiencing vision loss. She’ll also give a definition of vision loss, talk about the beliefs of blindness; she’ll give a demonstration of hands-on devices and applications; and will answer questions.
Anyone experiencing vision loss, their family members, friends, service providers and anyone else interested is urged to attend.
Both events are free of charge.
