(Cherokee)– The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking public input on plans to replace a bridge on Iowa Highway 31 over Silver Creek, about a mile west of U.S. Highway 59 in Cherokee county.
Plans call for the existing steel beam bridge to be replaced by one made from concrete. New approaches would be constructed and the existing guardrail would be replaced. The project is expected to begin in 2025.
