Informational Meeting Later This Week To Focus On Conservation In Dickinson County

October 25, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Okoboji)– What’s going on locally with conservation will be the topic of an informational meeting coming up later this week at the Maser Monarch Lodge on the campus of the Dickinson County Nature Center. Amy Benge of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach says it will begin at 6:30 pm this Thursday evening, October 27th and will feature several keynote speakers…

“Taylor Shirley with the Iowa DNR will be talking about trumpeter swan and sandhill crane restoration in Iowa, and then Lee Sorenson, the Director of the Dickinson County Conservation Board, will talk about their ongoing projects on their properties in the county, and then Sue Boettcher and myself will be there to talk about the success that we’ve had with the Master Conservation program and the upcoming classes in 2023.”

The event is free and open to the public.
