(Sibley)– Trespassing and other charges have been filed in connection with an incident early Saturday morning in Osceola county.
The Sheriff’s Office says it all started around 12:30 a.m. after deputies received a complaint about trespassing at a rural residence. The caller stated that two men had been asked to leave the premises but refused to do so. Upon arriving on the scene, deputies were told the two men had left. After deputies left, another 911 call was made to authorities shortly after 2:00 a.m. regarding a fight at the same residence.
Upon arriving on the scene, deputies arrested 20-year-old Colton Richards of Sibley and 49-year-old James Richards of Ocheyedan. Both were charged with trespassing…a simple misdemeanor.
Colton Richards was also charged with person under the legal age, criminal mischief in the fifth degree, assault, and possession of drug paraphernalia…all simple misdemeanors; and possession of a controlled substance…a serious misdemeanor.
James Richards was booked into the Osceola county jail on a $300 cash bond; Colton Richards was being held on a $2,500 cash bond.
