(Worthington, Mn.)– Some improvements are in the works for Highway 59 through Worthington.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is holding an informational event on the plans this (Mon.) afternoon from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at the Worthington City Hall. It’s being held in a come-and-go, open house style format. The Worthington City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed plans at at their meeting at 5:30 pm today (Mon.).
MnDOT officials say the plans are based on input they received from the city, residents, businesses and other stakeholders.
The reconstruction of Highway 59 in Worthington is scheduled for 2027 and 2028 and will include improvements to pavement, safety, and traffic flow. You can find more detailed plans here.
