Illegal Alien Pleads Guilty To Illegal Re-Entry

November 22, 2014

(Sioux City)– His incarceration in the Clay county jail has resulted in an illegal alien pleading guilty in federal court to illegally re-entering the U.S.

Feliciano Hernandez-Badillo of Mexico had been previously removed from the U.S. on June 25th, 2004. He was encountered by Homeland Security investigators in the Clay county jail on December of last year where he was being held on a forgery charge.

Hernandez-Badillo and two other illegal immigrants arrested in northern Iowa who have also pled guilty to illegally re-entering the country remain in the custody of a U.S. Marshal pending sentencing which will be held once a pre-sentence report is completed.

They face up to two years’ imprisonment, a fine of $250,000 and up to a year of supervised release.

All three admitted at a plea hearing that they were illegal aliens present in the U.S. without permission.
