(Spirit Lake)– Tuition and fees for the 2012-2013 college year were approved by the board of trustees of Iowa Lakes Community College at their monthly meeting Tuesday at the Spirit Lake campus.
Student tuition for Iowa and Minnesota residents will be $146 per credit hour. Non-residents and international students will pay $148 per credit hour.
Mandatory fees will remain the same, and fees for various programs were adjusted as needed.
Trustees were also updated on the STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math hub that was announced last week. Mark Gruwell, Executive Dean of Instruction and Development, told trustees the next step will be to hire a STEM programmer and then form a regional advisory committee. After that, the person will be responsible to coordinate efforts to enhance STEM curriculum for students throughout northwest Iowa.
