ILCC Trustees Hold Reorganizational Meeting

(Estherville)– Trustees of Iowa Lakes Community College held their annual reorganizational meeting earlier this week.

The oath of office was administered to board members Pat Kibbie, Bud Kyle, Jan Lund and Susan Zulk who were re-elected to the board last month.

Jack Tatman was re-elected President of the board; Jan Lund Vice President.

In other business, Julie Carlson, Dean of Student Enrollment, reported certified enrollment for the fall semester indicates 32,454 credit hours. Carlson says that’s somewhat different than what was projected, but is still an increase.

Trustees were also update on several projects. Delaine Hiney, Executive Director of Facilities Management, told the board specifications are still being developed for a proposed addition to the Wind Energy and Turbine Technology building. Hiney said they should be completed by the November or December trustee meeting.

Hiney also reported the wrestling facility has been completed, but the mats aren’t expected to arrive until later this month. An open house for the facility is set for November 11th.
