(Spirit Lake)– Trustees of Iowa Lakes Community College have approved a master contract with the college’s Education Association for the 2012 fiscal year.
The package contains a total salary and benefit package increase of 3.5 percent.
Trustees approved the wage and benefits package at their regular monthly meeting Tuesday at the Spirit Lake campus.
In other business, trustees were updated on a program that provides services to individuals who are unemployed or under-employed; they awarded a bid of just under $37,500 for a tiling project at the college farm; accepted a bid of $44,594 for a document imaging system; approved the issance of industrial new jobs training certificates for Eaton Corporation, GKN Armstrong Wheels and Polaris Industries; and they approved the refinancing of a 2001 capital loan note and dormitory revenue bonds resulting in a savings in interest to the tune of $52,000 for the college.
The trustees next meeting will be held June 21st at the Spencer campus.
