(Estherville)– You’ve probably heard the saying “you’re never too old to learn”. Iowa Lakes Community College has a program designed with just that in mind. Melissa Haukap of ILCC says they’ll be offering their Third Age College series this fall through the “Seniors Active in Learning” or SAIL program…
“It’s an opportunity for those that want to come back, visit campus and maybe dive into some leisure topics to immerse themselves in discussions with their peers.”
The sessions for this fall get underway the week of September 15th…
“The Monday class is Wonders Of The National Parks: A Geology of North America, and our Wednesday class is Starring Paul Newman, which is our movies class that will reveal some of the films and have discussion on his work.”
Haukap says the sessions will be held those mornings from 9:00 am until 11:30 am. Each course costs $25. Haukap says pre-registration is highly encouraged…
“We can accept enrollments at any point in time. The class schedule is also flexible so if individuals know that they’ve got a trip planned or appointments and the can’t meet all of the meeting times, our facilitators will work with them to give them access to the materials. The classes do start the week of September 15th however they’re welcome to join later on as well.”
