(Estherville)– The nursing programs at Iowa Lakes Community College have received accreditation from the Iowa Board of Nursing.
The college received notification last month of “full approval” for the next six years from the Iowa Board of Nursing. All colleges in Iowa that provide nursing programs must be reviewed and accredited.
The accreditation for Iowa Lakes includes both the daytime and evening/weekend sections of the Associate Degree Nursing and the Practical Nursing program offered in Emmetsburg, Algona, Spirit Lake and Spencer.
The Iowa Lakes Nursing Program has also been accredited by the Iowa Department of Education.
Iowa Lakes is also accredited as an institution by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools based out of Chicago.
