ILCC Music Dept. Gearing Up For Handbell Concert

November 20, 2025

(Estherville) The music department at Iowa Lakes Community College invites everyone to come and celebrate the holiday season with music and community. Lincoln Larsen, Director of Music and Performing Arts at Iowa Lakes is looking forward to this year’s concert…

“I”m so excited for this concert. It’s going to be the Iowa Lakes Jazz Band, the Iowa Lakes Hand bell Ensemble and some other instrumentalists. And then we also have the Lakes Area community bells are also going to be playing with us. So we have a great program with a lot of stuff and we’re really really excited to kick off people’s holiday season with such a great concert.”

Larsen is enthusiastic about his first concert where he will be in charge of the program…

“It’s going to be a little bit different for me for sure but you know, Carol is still involved and she’s going to be helping run some of the ensembles and stuff so I get to play some of the time. It’s the perfect balance between, you know, still being in charge making sure that things are happening but then I also still get to play like its’ going to be so much fun to have a day where we’re just sharing music and doing that with such a great audience.”

The concert will take place on Sunday December 7th at 3:00 pm and will be held at the Janice K Lund Performing Arts Center on the Iowa Lakes Community College Estherville campus. This concert is free and open to the public. They do ask for a free will donation which helps offset the cost of maintaining the handbells.
