IGL Rotary Club Gearing Up For Boji Brew Fest

July 28, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Arnolds Park)– The Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club is gearing up for their annual “Boji Brew Fest” coming up August 6th at the Central Park Shelter House in Arnolds Park. The event is for those 21 and over, with attendance being limited to 500 people. Organizer Kathy Fahy says there’s a bit of a change this year in the event’s format…

“It always runs from 12:00 to 4:00 every year, from Noon to 4:00, but we’re doing it a little bit different. In the past we always sold a VIP ticket for the first hour to let people in a little bit early to maybe sample a few extra things, but we decided to just go with one ticket price this year. So anyone who buys a ticket, 35 dollar ticket, can get in the door from 12:00 to 4:00 and they’ll have the opportunity to sample multiple beers, wines and spirits from various craft breweries, wineries and distilleries in our area, so we’re looking really forward to that.”

Proceeds from the event go toward various community projects the Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club puts on…

“We did a renovation of some playground upgrades at Shelby’s Playground out at Elinor Bedell State Park; we built an outdoor pavilion at Camp Foster YMCA; and we’re currently in the process of identifying a couple of our next projects that we plan to take on, but all of the proceeds go towards those community projects that we do right here in the lakes area.”

Tickets are available at bojibrewfest-dot-com as well as Okoboji Brewing Company and West O Beer.
