(Royal)– The Iowa Great Lakes Fishing Club holds a major fundraising event this coming Saturday, January 10th. Board member Russ Sweet says they’ll be holding their annual Wild Game Feed at Haggy’s in Royal. The doors will open at 5:30 pm with the meal consisting of a fish fry and pheasant being served at 6:30 pm with raffles, horse races, and silent auctions also going on as part of the event…
“Proceeds actually go for all of our kids events that we do throughout the year. We introduced over a thousand kids to fishing this last year and we want to continue with that route and that path.”
Sweet adds memberships will also be available that evening at the door…
“Memberships are $35 whether it be for a family member or personal membership, so. It’s a great cause and it’s worth while to come.”
Admission to the Wild Game Feed is by a freewill donation.
