IGL Fishing Club Gearing Up For Annual Wild Game Feed

(Royal)– The Iowa Great Lakes Fishing Club holds one of its major fundraising events of the year this weekend. Spokesman Terry Thomsen says it will be held Saturday evening in Royal…

“Haggy’s Bar and Grill in Royal, we’re going to have our annual wild game feed. We donate some of the money raised there to the Jim McDonald Scholarship Fund, so we’ll have a good night. It’s a freewill offering for admittance. We’ll have memberships available there as well if you’re interested in renewing or joining our club. There will be a raffle with a lot of stuff on it. Craig Manning always does a good job with horse races, some cheap entertainment, and then we’ll also have some silent auction items. The whole event starts at 5:30.”

Club member Paul Daniels says the menu covers the gamut…

“There’s pheasant, there’s fish, there’s goose, deer, turkey, rabbit, you name it. Maybe there’s a wild card dish, who knows?”
