IGL Chamber Getting Ready For A Couple Of Big Events This Fall

August 14, 2025

(Arnolds Park)– Summer may be winding down, but there’s still a lot to see and do in the Iowa Great Lakes. Blain Andera, President and CEO of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, says they have a couple of big events coming up, including the U of O Oktoberfest Saturday, September 27th

“We encourage people to register early as on September 8th it will go up from $30 to $35. So if you want to save a few bucks, register early. Of course the bike ride, the keg toss, stein holding competition, we’ve got a band and registration for the bean bag tournament is open as well and that’s only $20 for the bean bag tournament.”

In addition, the annual Iowa Great Lakes Fall Festival is coming up October 18th at Camp Foster…

“Bring all the kids out in costume for a fun day full of activities. Many of our local chamber members will be there and they have activities that they put on, they have treats for the kids. It’s just a ton of fun. And again that’s from 10:00 until 2:00 on Saturday, October 18th out at Camp Foster. We’re so appreciative to the camp and YMCA for being a partner with us on this event. It’s a really cool event.”
