April 17, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Undated)– Ice and snow were believed to be contributing factors in two separate crashes Sunday in Jackson and Cottonwood counties that sent two people to hospitals.

The Minnesota State Patrol says one of those was a three-vehicle collision that took place around 2:00 pm on Highway 60 near Windom. A passenger in one of the vehicles, 56-year-old Christine Brecht of Cold Spring, Minnesota, was taken to the Windom hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The other was a two vehicle collision that happened a little before 5:00 pm on Highway 60 west of Mountain Lake. Troopers say one of the drivers, Breeanna Blue of Windom, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Windom hospital.
