I90 Rollover Injures One Person

November 22, 2014

(Welcome, Mn.)– A single-vehicle rollover early Sunday on Interstate 90 near Welcome sent one person to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 30-year-old David Christensen of Albert Lea was westbound and took the Welcome exit. Authorities say Christensen then took the on-ramp back onto the interstate, lost control, over-corrected, and rolled.

Christensen was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. There was no immediate word on the extent of his injuries or condition.

A 2001 Chevrolet Tracker he was driving was totaled.

The crash took place shortly after 12:30 a.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Welcome First Responders and Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance.
