(Jackson, Mn.)—Two people from Texas were injured late yesterday (Wed.) afternoon when a motorcycle they were riding collided with a trailer on Interstate 90 two miles west of the Highway 71 exit in Jackson county.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 41-year-old Oliver Peck of Dallas, Texas was driving a 2007 Honda that was in a group with three other motorcycles. Authorities say he attempted to change lanes to pass a pickup pulling a trailer when he struck the left rear of the trailer, causing him to lose control. Peck and a passenger, 30-year-old Audra Cabral of Dallas, Texas, were both ejected. Peck and Cabral were both taken to Sanford Hospital in Jackson where they were treated for minor injuries.
Severe damage was reported to the motorcycle.
The incident took place shortly before 5:30 p.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
