I90 Crash Injures Spirit Lake Man, Arizona Woman

(Worthington, Mn.)– A single-vehicle rollover on Interstate 90 near Worthington Thursday injured two people.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 49-year-old Donny Utley of Spirit Lake was driving a 2002 Chevrolet pickup just west of Worthington when he lost control on some ice. The vehicle went into the median and rolled.

A passenger, 48-year-old Deborah Abshire of Phoenix, Arizona, was ejected from the vehicle.

Utley and Abshire were both taken by ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Worthington. Utley was treated and released; Abshire was listed in critical condition.

Severe damage was reported to the pickup.

The crash took place shortly before 10:00 a.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office.
