(Adrian, Mn.)– A single-vehicle crash Saturday evening on Interstate 90 claimed the life of an Estherville man.
The Minnesota State Patrol identifies the victim as the driver, 22-year-old Austin Skyberg of Estherville. A passenger, 26-year-old Joy Skyberg of Estherville, was taken to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls with non life-threatening injuries.
Troopers say Austin Skyberg was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound when he lost control. The vehicle traveled into the center median. Authorities say Skyberg then over-corrected, causing the vehicle to roll.
The crash took place shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office.
The vehicle was totaled.
