March 27, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Jackson, Mn.)– Two people were injured in separate semi crashes Tuesday on Interstate 90 in Jackson county.

The first took place around 5:40 am near mile marker 53. Troopers say 49-year-old Christopher Flanery of Kasson, Minnesota lost control of a 2019 Freightliner that left the road and went into the median. Flanery was taken to the Worthington hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The other crash took place at 7:00 am Tuesday at mile post 56, also in Jackson county. Trooper say 38-year-old Hussein Hassan lost control of a 2016 Freightliner that went into the ditch. He was also taken to the Worthington hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It wasn’t certain where Hassan is from.

Troopers say the road was snow and ice-covered at the time of both crashes.
