(Jackson, Mn.)– Two people were injured over the weekend when a semi crashed on Interstate 90 east of Jackson.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 34-year-old Puspa Ghaley of Ottawa, Canada lost control of the 2024 Volvo while traveling westbound a little after 10:00 pm Saturday. The semi left the road near milepost 80 and rolled.

Ghaley and a passenger, 34-year-old Kuikel Awiskar, were taken to the Jackson Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson Fire and Ambulance and the Alpha Fire Department and Ambulance assisted on the scene.

Authorities say the road was snow and ice-covered.
