I-90 Rollovers Injure Two

(Undated)– Separate rollovers Saturday morning on Interstate 90 in Jackson county injured two people.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 60-year-old Dick Hurlburt of Sioux Falls was eastbound when he lost control of a 1985 Chevrolet pickup on the frost-covered road.

The vehicle went into the median and rolled.

Hurlburt was taken to Sanford Hospital in Worthington where he was treated for a facial laceration.

The pickup was totaled.

The mishap took place around 6:45 a.m. Saturday.

Another rollover minutes later in Jackson county sent another person to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 33-year-old Miriam Medina of Fairmont was driving a 2005 Toyota westbound when she lost control on some frost. The vehicle skidded into the westbound lane and rolled.

A passenger, Andrea Cornejo, Median’s six-year-old daughter, was taken to the Jackson Medical Center where she was treated for a minor shoulder injury.

No other injuries were reported.

Moderate damage was reported to the vehicle.

That mishap took place shortly before 7:00 a.m. Saturday.
