I-90 Head-On Crash Injures Four

(Frost, Mn.)– A head-on crash on Interstate 90 near Blue Earth Saturday injured four people.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 64-year-old Larry Hunter of Jackson was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe westbound when he lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle went through the median and collided head-on with a 2007 Freightliner semi driven by 53-year-old Dennis Krumvieda a Elkton, South Dakota.

Hunter and Krumvieda, along with two passengers in Hunter’s vehicle, identified as 48-year-old Mary Gilmore of Jackson and 22-year-old Courtney Baumann of Kiester, Minnesota were all taken to the Blue Earth hospital where they were treated and released.

Damage estimates to the Tahoe and semi weren’t immediately available.

The mishap took place near the Frost exit.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office and the Frost Fire and Ambulance Service.
