(Granada, Mn.)– A two-vehicle collision Friday evening on Interstate 90 near Granada in Martin County claimed a life. The Minnesota State Patrol says 72-year-old Gary Peterson of Granada was driving a 1998 Buick and 45-year-old Gerald Stephan of Forest City was driving a 2016 Chevrolet. Troopers say both vehicles were eastbound when the collision occurred. Peterson was pronounced dead a short time after the collision; Stephan was taken to the Fairmont hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The collision took place shortly before 10:00 pm.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office and Granada Fire and Rescue assisted on the scene.
