I-90 Car-Deer Crash Results In Minor Injuries

(Jackson, Mn.)– A car-deer crash Monday evening on Interstate 90 three miles west of Jackson resulted in minor injuries to one person.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 44-year-old Sherry DeJong-Stromberg of Blue Earth was driving a 2007 Infinity eastbound when she collided with a deer.

A passenger in the vehicle, 15-year-old Joshua DeJong, was injured when the airbag deployed. He was taken to the Jackson hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

The vehicle sustained moderate damage.

The mishap took place shortly before 7:00 p.m.
