Hwy. 60 Crash Injures Sioux City Man

(Sheldon)– A Sioux City man was injured Monday when he lost control of a pickup while traveling on an ice-covered bridge on Highway 60 in O’Brien county.

The Sheriff’s Office says the driver, 45-year-old Richard Lombard of Sioux City, was northbound at the time. The vehicle went onto the east shoulder and rolled once, coming to rest on its wheels.

Lombard was taken by ambulance to the Sheldon hospital. There was no word on the extent of his injuries or condition.

Four thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1996 Chevrolet pickup he was driving, owned by Boone Brothers Roofing of Sioux City.

The crash took place around 4:30 p.m.
