(Arnolds Park)– The Humane Society of Northwest Iowa holds its major fundraiser of the year later this week. Board President Matt Lanfear says “Wags ‘n Whiskers” will be held Wednesday, July 30th, from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at the Roof Garden in Arnolds Park…
“We’re going to kick the evening off at 5:00 pm with a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres hour and during that we’re going to be having a few little events going on, the ever popular BINGO Ball; we’ve got our silent auction with just loads of wonderful gifts that have been donated, as well as our envelope tree and then from 6:00 to 7:00 we’ve got a delicious dinner that will be catered by Yesterdays in the park and following that 8:00 we have Emmy Award wining comedian David Harris. He’s absolutely hilarious, should bring the house down and we hope it will be a perfect end to a great night.”
Lanfear says this is a huge event for the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa…
“Every dollar that’s raised go directly to support the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa. It helps us to cover the cost of food and shelter, some of our enrichment programs, our staffing, some of our outreach programs in the community. It’s really our way to support the operation of the shelter as our four legged friends kind of wait for their forever home.”
He says there are several ways to get tickets…
“Tickets are $75 for individuals. If you want to bring a group we’ve got tables that you can purchase for $500, get you a number of guests at the table and booths as well, they’re a thousand. Those also come with multiple tickets so it saves you a little extra on tickets. You can also purchase your tickets at the door. You can go to our Facebook page, scan the Q R Code and get your tickets that way as well.”
