(Cherokee)– The body of a man was found Sunday in a field near Cherokee.
Cherokee County Sheriff Derek Scott says deputies responded to the scene about a mile east of Cherokee after getting a report of some remains being found. Scott says an investigation determined the remains are those of Joseph Kosiba of Cherokee who went missing in January of this year.
The remains have been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. Scott says foul play is not suspected, but the death of Kosiba remains under investigation.
