(West Bend) — Two people are hurt after a house explosion in northern Iowa. The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office says the blast Monday morning trapped two people in the home, southeast of West Bend. First responders rescued a 44-year-old woman. A 21-year-old man was able to crawl out of the debris on his own. Both were taken to the hospital. There was no word on the extent of their injuries or conditions. There was also no immediate word on a possible cause of the blast.
